On October 28, 2026, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan E. Agayev took part in the Third Ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held in Baku. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by more than 250 people from 48 member states of OIC and representatives of international organizations.

The meeting aimed to strengthen international cooperation in combating corruption, develop interaction between the competent authorities of OIC member states, and exchange experiences and best practices in ensuring transparency, legality, and the effective implementation of anti-corruption legislation.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the provisions of the Mecca Agreement on Law Enforcement Cooperation in the Fight against Corruption, adopted in 2023, and to expanding international coordination in this area.

During the meeting, the head of the Turkmenistan delegation emphasized that ensuring the rule of law, protecting citizens' rights and improving legal mechanisms are important areas of the country's state policy. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmenistan is implementing a National Program for 2025-2029, which provides for improving legislation, reducing corruption risks, and increasing the professional potential of personnel.

The participation of the Turkmenistan delegation in the event confirmed the country's commitment to developing constructive international dialogue and strengthening cooperation with member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in order to combat corruption, ensure the rule of law and share best practices.
