A delegation from the State medical university of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryyev took part in the World congress on traditional medicine 2026 and the Educational forum on traditional medicine, held from the 17^th to 26^th of October in Beijing (People's Republic of China).

Representatives from leading universities and research centres around the world took part in a congress and an educational forum held to mark the 70^th anniversary of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

During the events, participants delivered thematic presentations and engaged in extensive discussions on the integration of traditional and modern medicine, as well as the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

Turkmen delegates presented detailed information on the results achieved through the cooperation between Turkmen and Beijing universities a partnership that has been successfully ongoing for over a decade. The presentation also highlighted the activities of a specialized training facility for Chinese medicine at the Turkmen medical university.

As part of the visit, the Turkmen delegation took part in celebratory events marking the 70^th anniversary of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and held official meetings with the rector and specialists of university from its international cooperation department.

During the meetings, the participants discussed future steps for bilateral cooperation and reached agreements regarding the training of specialists and students, the enhancement of academic curricula, and the conduct of joint research projects.
