Azat Babayev, vice-rector for academic affairs at the Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan named after Oguz han, participated in the international conference «Silk roads of knowledge: education, art, and artificial intelligence for a sustainable future in Central Asia», which took place from the 26th to 27th of October in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The international forum brought together heads of leading higher education institutions from the region and abroad, leading scientists, education experts, and representatives of international organisations.

The main goal of the conference was to discuss key challenges in ensuring the sustainable development of education and science systems in the Central Asian region, as well as modern methods for integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence capabilities with education and the arts.

Panel sessions and active discussions addressed such important areas as improving the quality of higher education in the digital age, actively integrating elements of artificial intelligence into curricula, using digital tools in scientific research, and developing innovative thinking through art.

In his speech, Azat Babayev, vice-rector of the Engineering and technology university of Turkmenistan named after Oguz han, spoke about the extensive work being carried out in the country to improve education and science systems, train highly qualified engineers and technologists, and implement artificial intelligence in production and education. He also noted comprehensive openness of Turkmenistan to expanding cooperation with leading foreign scientific and educational centres. The vice-rector of the Turkmen university also paid special attention to these topics during meetings with colleagues from various countries at the forum.

The participation of a representative of a Turkmen university in this international event was further evidence that Turkmenistan places great emphasis on strengthening scientific and educational ties in the region and globally, studying and implementing best international practices, and jointly creating innovative solutions to ensure a sustainable future for all.
