Ceremonies of opening and laying the foundation stone of healthcare facilities

The ceremonies of opening and laying the foundations tone of healthcare facilities took place with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat to mark the Day of Healthcare Workers and the 18th anniversary of the Saglyk State Programme. The super modern Dental Centre and the enterprise producing infusion solutions were put into operation and the construction of the Training and Research Centre of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry and the new building complex of the Maternity and Child Health Clinical Research Centre was launched in the Turkmen capital on that day.


The Maternity and Child Health Clinical Research Centre of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry will be built on 1970 Street in the south of Ashgabat. The President threw the capsule with a message in the foundation pit of the Training and Research Centre of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry. The Turkmen leader put the first shovels of concrete in the foundation pit of the future healthcare facility. Ceremony participants followed the Turkmen leader.

After the ceremony the President headed to the Dental Centre. Its six-storey building blends well with the architectural ensemble of the medical town located in this part of the Turkmen capital at the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. The new facility sprang up in the neighbourhood of the Eye Diseases Centre that was built in 2011. The President headed to the main entrance of the Dental Centre and cut the ribbon. After entering the building, the Turkmen leader got acquainted with the new healthcare facility supplied with advanced equipment from the world's leading manufacturers, including SIRONA (Germany).


After leaving the building of the Dental Centre, the President headed to the new enterprise producing infusion solutions. The manufacturing technology and process were demonstrated on the big monitor for the President and ceremony participants. Then the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the quality control department and analytical laboratory to see working conditions.

Focusing on the tasks to modernize and develop infrastructure of the health industry and increase the production of domestic medical products, the President gave specific instructions to the high-ranking officials on the construction of similar modern plants.


Then the Turkmen leader talked to the heads of diplomatic representations and missions accredited in Turkmenistan, foreign guests and businessmen, who were participating in the ceremonies, noting that large-scale measures were taken in the country to bring Turkmenistan's health sector to the level of developed countries of the world.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited an exhibition of domestically manufactured medical products. Then the President wrote an entry in the Book of Guests of Honour in commemoration of the event.

Congratulating the ceremony participants on the opening of the new healthcare facility and wishing local specialists every success in their work, the Turkmen leader drove to venue for the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new building complex of the Maternity and Child Health Clinical Research Centre. The Turkmen leader entered the tent where he signed a message and put in into the capsule. Then the capsule was thrown into the foundation pit of the new building complex. To the applause of those present the President put the first shovels of concrete in the foundation pit of the future healthcare facility, thus launching the construction. After the ceremony the President once again congratulated Turkmen healthcare workers on their professional holiday. Then the Turkmen leader cordially bade farewell to ceremony participants and left the venue.

The ceremonies of laying the foundation stone of the new building complex of the International Medical Centre and opening the three-storey building of the Ashgabat Sanitation Epidemiological Service took place on that day.
