President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spends short summer holidays in the Avaza National tourist zone.

This region has become a visiting card of the national tourist industry promoting the intensive integration of the Turkmen economy into the global system of economic relations.

At present, thousands of Turkmen citizens from all regions of the country spend their summer holidays on the coast of the ancient Khazar, where clean sandy beaches, generous sun, healing air and warm sea provide the holidaymakers with an opportunity to rest and promote health. In evenings this heavenly place is lighted up with myriads of many-coloured stars, music sounded everywhere and a colourful light and musical water show of ‘dancing’ fountains takes place at the square in front of the amphitheater.

Vice premiers, heads of ministries and departments, public organisations and deputies of Mejlis spend their summer holidays in Avaza. Noting that the good results had been achieved in the first half of the year, the Turkmen leader said all the heads of ministries would be on leave from July 21 to 31 during the recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

As usual, the Turkmen leader begins every morning with doing physical exercises during the holidays he is spending on the sea shore these days.

Early morning the Turkmen leader goes for cycling along the Caspian coast.

One morning the President of Turkmenistan rode a wave runner. As usual, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dedicates free time to conducting scientific researches, writing fundamental works and literary compositions as well as reading books. During his summer holidays, the Turkmen leader works on the new volume of the encyclopedia “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan”.

The President of Turkmenistan also dedicates his free time to taking care about trees and saplings in the garden. The Turkmen leader’s grandson often helps him in the garden.

Working in a square during his holidays, the Turkmen leader told his grandson that our ancestors had considered it noble to plant trees and maintain gardens.

The President of Turkmenistan and his grandson dedicated one of the summer days on the Caspian coast to fishing. The Turkmen leader told his grandson that fish had been the wealth of the Caspian Sea from times immemorial and fishery was one of the traditional crafts of the Turkmen people.

During the summer holidays, the President of Turkmenistan also considered a number of the state policy issues.
