President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays an official visit to Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran to take part in the ceremony of inauguration of the newly-elected President of Iran.

The fact that the President of Turkmenistan will attend the solemn events in honour of the swearing-in of the new president is another evidence of the significance of the Turkmen-Iranian relations.

The confidential relations between Turkmenistan and Iran promote implementing the agreements achieved earlier and searching new areas of the traditional cooperation in various spheres, including trade and economy, fuel and energy sector, construction, agriculture and other spheres as well. Turkmenistan and Iran pay significant attention to development of bilateral relations in the cultural and humanitarian spheres as a traditionally prioritized sector of the intergovernmental dialogue.

The meeting of the leaders of the two states in Tehran will become another step towards fostering the traditional relations between Turkmenistan and Iran and developing the constructive approach to specifying the most efficient areas of cooperation given the priorities of the state development.
