The festivities with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in the Turkmen capital to mark the launch of the projects of the 13th construction stage.
The projects stipulate that a large complex of apartment houses and administrative buildings on Oguzhan Street in the south of Ashgabat will be built. An architectural ensemble of white-marble high-rise houses with modern conveniences with the total area of 970,000 square metres and administrative and other buildings will be built at the request of a number of ministries and departments in this part of the city. The total construction cost is 1.41 billion manats.
12-storey apartment houses will be built at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, the Turkmenistan State Commercial Bank, the State Committee for Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Oil and Gas and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ashgabat Khyakimlik in this part of the city. One of the new houses will be built at the request of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Two secondary schools for 600 chidlren each and two kindergartens for 160 chidlren each, where the favourable conditions for education, intellectual and creative growth in young citizens of Turkmenistan will be created, will be built there.
In addition, the construction projects stipulate that necessary infrastructures will be developed and a shopping and entertainment centre, three-level parking garage for 200 cars with a number of shops on the ground floor and motor roads will be built.
The President of Turkmenistan addressed participants in the opening ceremony. The Turkmen leader emphasized that the new ambitious construction projects were entrusted to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The President noted that this fact testified to profound trust given to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, taking account of large-scale work carried out by Turkmen entrepreneurs in all the sectors of the national economy.
The President signed the Resolution on the Construction of Modern Buildings and Facilities on Oguzhan Street in Ashgabat to the applause of those present. In conclusion President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished every success in their work and fulfilment of the important tasks to the high-ranking officials and cordially bade farewell to the ceremony participants.
