President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a video conference with Vice Premiers, khyakims of velayats and the Turkmen capital as well as the heads of ministries and departments. the meeting agenda focused on the priority tasks on further development of the country and agricultural works.
The meeting participants reported on the existing situation in the regions, the measures taken to improve the social infrastructure and accelerate the paces of construction works. In particular it was reported on the progress in implementing the agricultural campaigns and drafting the project of the new velayat centre in Ahal region.
The Vice Premiers reported on the progress of construction works in Ashgabat and the existing situation in newly established straps in the Turkmen capital. a number of relevant projects were submitted to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the preparation of documents on cooperation in the oil and gas sphere to be signed during the forthcoming visit of the Government delegation of our country to Japan.
It was also reported on the progress in implementing the national programmes and reforms in the spheres of science, education, healthcare, sports and tourism and the measures taken to strengthen the relevant material and technical basis.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to take all necessary measures to ensure the efficiency of work of the oil and gas sector, an important strategic industry of the national economy. The Turkmen also underlined the necessity to pay particular attention to the further development of the long-term mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.
Moreover, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to study the territory of the new administrative centre of Ahal Velayat and conduct special researches to define the location of underground waters and other peculiarities of this area.
The Turkmen leader demanded Lebap Velayat Khyakim to accelerate the paces of construction of the ore-dressing and processing potassium enterprise and take the works on construction of the new airport and roads under the rigorous control.
Focusing on the key issues of the further development of the Turkmen capital, the Turkmen leader expressed dissatisfaction with the organization of works in Ashgabat. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan demanded the relevant officials to eliminate the shortcomings, take implementation of all plans on modernization of the urban infrastructure, in particular the transport and communication system in the Turkmen capital under the rigorous control and ensure the high quality of construction works, including construction of roads.
Underlining the importance of the national culture in the successful implementation of the large-scale reforms taken place in Turkmenistan and widening the fruitful international contacts, the Turkmen leader focused on the need to popularize the spiritual and moral values and rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people all around the world in compliance with the modern requirements and the most advanced technologies.

The Turkmen leader instructed the head of the Committee for Sports to accelerate construction of new sports facilities in the Turkmen capital and the whole country as well.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the low organization of works on education of younger generation in kindergartens, the Turkmen leader gave a number of specific instructions to the Minister of Education in this regard.
