President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference meeting with the Vice Premiers and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The important policy issues and the progress in seasonal agricultural activities and construction of social and cultural facilities were considered during the meeting.
In particular, the meeting participants reported on the progress in the wheat sowing campaign and the preparations for the cotton campaign that would start on August 28. The information on the progress in implementing the important construction projects and the opening ceremonies of new educational facilities to mark the beginning of a new school year was presented.
The reports spotlighted the preparations for the winter season in the capital city and the measures taken to beautify Ashgabat and optimize the activities of public utilities. It was reported that a multilayer garage in Ashgabat would be put into operation within the next few weeks.
The projects of a number of new facilities, including those to be built in the territory of newly formed Avaza Etrap in Turkmenbashi town, and a five-star hotel to be built in the Avaza national tourism zone and the draft designs were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
The projects aimed at building the production capacity of the agro-industrial sector were presented to the President for consideration.
Other issues relating to the further development of the regions and the sectors of the national economy were considered during the meeting and the approaches to fulfilling the tasks were specified.
