President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference meeting with the Vice Premiers and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The priority domestic policy issues particularly relating to the seasonal agricultural campaigns and the construction of social and cultural facilities in the regions were put on the agenda.
The reports on the measures taken to hold the winter wheat sowing campaign and the cotton campaign in a proper and timely manner, the progress in implementing the construction projects in the regions and the work carried out in the new etraps of Turkmenbashi town were presented. The information on the bicycle races, which took place on September 1, the Road Safety Month activities and the festivities in honour of the Day of Knowledge and Students, was presented.
The President was informed of the preparation for the commissioning ceremony of new facilities in the Galkynysh gas field and the opening ceremonies of the Bagt kosgi Wedding Palace in Mary and a bakery plant with the grain elevator and mill with the annual capacity of 50,000 tons of flour. The reports spotlighted the measures taken to beautify the capital city, improve urban infrastructure and modernize public utilities. The layouts of multilevel parking facilities were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
Commenting on the reports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov placed emphasis on the issues relating to the development of infrastructure in the new etraps of Turkmenbashi town and signed the Resolution on the Issues of the Khyakimliks of Avaza Etrap and Kenar Etrap of Turkmenbashi Town. Noting the importance of the development of the social sphere in Dashoguz Velayat, the President dismissed Deputy Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim for education, culture, health care and sports G. Myratberdieva for the shortcomings in her work and signed the relevant document. The President appointed G. Ataeva to the post.
Approving the layouts of new facilities in whole, including multilevel parking facilities to be built in the suburbs of Ashgabat, and providing the comments and recommendations, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the main requirements set to architects and civil engineers included an original architectural design of buildings and facilities, along with operational reliability and functionality. Noting that sport and physical activity should become a rule of everyday life of young citizens of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the instructions to hold sport events, including bicycle races, involving students each Sunday.
