President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami.
During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest underlined the high level of the intergovernmental relations, which received the new dynamics and content within the last time and exchanged their views on the status and the prospects of the bilateral cooperation. The Turkmen leader and his guest noted that the top level agreements achieved during the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakstan in May, 2013 had offered a powerful incentive to enhancing the partnership between Turkmenistan and the REpublic of Kazakhstan.
Underlining the huge potential for the further intensification of the fruitful cooperation, the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed the readiness of the both countries to ensure its efficient implementation. Intensification of the mutually beneficial economic partnership and the inter-parliamentary dialogue, exchange of experience in the sphere of legislation as well as development of the fruitful humanitarian relations between the two friendly countries were specified among the priority areas.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Orman Nurbaev attended the meeting.
Within the framework of the visit to Ashgabat, the members of the representative delegation led by the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami were received at the Mejlis f Turkmenistan and the Institute of International relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
