President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Ali Ardashiri Laridjani and Minister of Oil of Iran Mr. Bizhan Namdar Zangane.
In the course of the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan and his guest exchanged views on state and prospects of bilateral partnership and declared for its further progressive expansion. Interaction in the energy sphere is considerably model in the field of strengthening of full-scale interstate dialogue. In this context, the guests noted that a series of scale projects initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov are of great significance not only for further opening of economic potential of oil and gas sector of Turkmen state, but also plays an important role in strengthening of global energy security.
In continuation of the topic, having underlined that presently, the issues of equitable, uninterrupted and guaranteed access to the energy sources and means of their transportation gained a global scale, the President of Turkmenistan noted that it demands the bringing of this problem to the level of the UNO with a view of integrated principles and distinct rules, regulating the relations between producers, transit countries and consumers. In this connection, the head of state announced the proposal on reasonability of creation of the expert group under the aegis of the UNO for development of international mechanism of stable energy deliveries in the world.
Within the framework of the meeting, having underlined an important role attached to the parliamentarians in strengthening of mutual understanding and confidence between the countries, the Turkmen leader and head of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran also spoke for activization of inter-Parliamentary ties.

Today, in the second half of the day, the members of delegation at the head of the Chairman of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Ali Ardashiri Laridjani were received at the Parliament of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the program of the guests’ stay in Turkmenistan, it was also planned the meetings at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, where Mr. Ardashiri Laridjani will deliver lectures before teaching staff of this higher educational establishment.
