Top-level talks in Tokyo are expected to identify priorities and vectors of further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan. Evidence of keen mutual interest is the decision to open the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan in accordance with the Special Decree issued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in May this year.
Oil refining, innovation telecommunications and communications infrastructure, medicine and healthcare and science and technology were identified as the key sectors of Turkmen economy in which the best international practices, including those of Japan, are in high demand.
