President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on official visit in Japan, held a meeting with the leadership of the largest trade and financial structures of the friendly country – President of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Mr. Hiroshi Okuda, President of Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) Mr. Kazuhiko Bando and President of the Japan Association for Trade with Russia & NIS (ROTOBO), senior executive advisor of “Mitsubishi Heavy Industry” Corporation Mr. Takashi Nishioka.

In the course of the meeting held in business, constructive clue, special attention was paid to the issues of steady expansion of the trade-economic cooperation, being established on the principles of long-term and mutual benefit. In this connection, it was discussed the possibilities of attraction of the Japanese investments to the Turkmen economy and widening of the frames of traditional partnership owing to realization of new joint projects and investment programs aimed at further socio-economic progress of Turkmenistan.

The heads of JBIC, NEXI and ROTOBO submitted several prospective proposals on activization of cooperation in a series of key trends for consideration of the head of Turkmenistan.

Particular topic of discussion became the opportunity of attraction of the leading technologies and innovative designs of the Japanese companies, which strive to strengthen their positions on the Turkmen market.
