President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Trustee of the Indian-Turkmen Society of Friendship, officially appointed National Chairman of the India National Congress Mohammed Afzal and President of the Ino-Turkmen Friendship Society, Senior Advisor of the Panacea Biotech Company Gopinath Menon.

The heads of the Indo-Turkmen Friendship Society presented the book "Medical plants of Turkmenistan" translated into hindi to the President of Turkmenistan and noted that the book would be published in India within the next few months.

During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guests discussed the issues regarding the project on construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the important tasks on studying, preserving and increasing the common cultural values of the peoples of Turkmenistan and India.

Specifying a number of steps to enhance the efficient relations, the Turkmen leader and his guests underlined the significance of holding regular events with participation of famous workers of culture and art of the two countries - the Days of culture, musical and theatrical festivals, concerts, and exhibitions of the fine and applied art, etc.
