An exhibition of commodities of the Republic of Turkey in Turkmenistan opened at the Sergi Köşgi Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat. The forum is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey in collaboration with the MERIDYEN Company, the large exhibition operator in Turkey.
The ceremony of opening the exhibition brought together the cabinet ministers, the heads of Turkmen ministries and departments and diplomatic missions and representations accredited to Turkmenistan, representatives of public organisations of the Galkynys National Movement and journalists.
The welcome address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to forum participants was presented during the opening ceremony. Congratulating exhibition participants and wishing them a successful and fruitful work, the Turkmen leader noted that in the epoch of great reforms cooperation between our countries had been filled with a qualitatively new content. In recent years Turkmenistan and Turkey have enhanced relations and have launched hundreds of joint projects in various spheres. The regulatory framework of Turkmen-Turkish partnership is composed of over 100 agreements signed at the interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels.
Over 70 leading Turkish companies willing to step up cooperation with Turkmenistan present their expositions at Sergi Köşgi. Among them are BURC TURKMEN, BETONSTAR, AZIM OTOMOTIV, BEKO TURKMENISTAN, BURDA BEBEK ANNE, ERSUR TEKSTIL, AK PEN, BIEN SERAMIK, BOOM MAKINA, BURUC HALICILIK, FRESA, etc. The delegation consisting of 130 businessmen from different regions of the Republic of Turkey, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Mersina has arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the exhibition.
The versatile exposition showcases technical innovations of Turkish manufacturers which have the leading positions in the market of building materials, textiles, spare parts, household appliances, cosmetics, food products and furniture. The palette of the expositions provides clear view of the prospects for enhancing cooperation in a wide spectrum of fields.
The section displaying building materials and construction equipment is distinguished for the largest number of participating companies and firms. A variety of paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, ceramic tiles, floor cover, polyurethane sandwich-panels, polyvinylchloride and aluminium accessories are presented. In this section Turkish manufacturers also present various types of conductor cables, fuel pumps, milling machines, tube cutters, etc
The expositions of innovative technologies, which are in high demand in dynamically developing Turkmen economy, are of particular interest to visitors, particularly technicians, engineers and students. Satellite communication systems, navigation systems, radars, laboratory and meteorological equipment and solar street lighting systems are presented in the exposition.
The exhibition is being held against the background of significantly intensified partnership between our countries. The modernisation and economic diversification strategy opens up the vast opportunities for Turkmenistan to foster cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors and collaboration on ambitious international projects.
The increased interest of the Turkish business circles in strengthening their positions and expanding on the promising Turkmen market was demonstrated to the full extent during bilateral talks and meetings of specialists of ministries with departments of Turkmenistan and top managers of Turkish companies numerous presentations which took place at Sergi köşgi.
Reaffirming that they stood ready to foster effective business contacts, meeting participants called for promotion of an exchange of views in various fields.
