President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the State Security Council, during which the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in nine months of the current year were considered and the priority measures to be taken to fulfil the designated tasks were identified.
Before discussing the agenda items, the President informed of his decision to relieve A. Garaev from the post of Chief of the State Border Service due to the transfer to another job and appoint M. Yslamov Chief of the State Border Service and relieved him from the post of Vice Rector for educational activity of the Border Institute.

Gundogdyev reported on the progress in implementing the large-scale military reform and the measures taken to strengthen the material and technical basis of the national army, train military personnel and create favourable conditions for life and service of military servants. Minister of Defence reported on the preparations for the military parade and other events, including the opening ceremonies of apartment houses for military servants in honour of the 22nd anniversary of Turkmenistan independence.
Prosecutor General A. Hallyev reported to the Turkmen leader on the current situation and the measures taken on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan to strengthen discipline at prosecutor's offices which are to perform the important and responsible mission to ensure strict observance of law and order in the country. Emphasizing one again on the need to select the most competent and highly skilled personnel, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that honest and well-educated specialists, who are devoted implicitly to the principle of supremacy of law, should work at prosecutor's offices which are responsible for observing the laws. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan issued the Resolution on the appointment and dismissal of prosecutors.
