President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Governor of the Astrkhan Oblast Aleksander Zhilkin, who has arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the festivities on occasion of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. The distinguished guest conveyed congratulations on behalf of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Chairmen of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Medvedev on occasion of the remarkable date - the 22nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and wished the Turkmen leader and all people of Turkmenistan peace, happiness and wellbeing.
Underscoring the mutual willingness to promote the fruitful dialogue President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Governor of the Astrkhan Oblast Aleksander Zhilkin specified the fields to enhance further mutually advantageous partnerships which had the tremendous potential to expand and deepen. Trade, shipbuilding, transport sphere and communications were specified as the priority areas for the cooperation between the two states. Particular attention was paid to the issues of enhancing humanitarian relations, including in the sphere of education and training of specialists for the maritime industry. The Turkmen leader and his guest also discussed the forthcoming celebrations of the 290th anniversary of the world-known great Turkmen poet - Magtymguly Fragi.

Exchanging views on the prospects of Turkmen-Ukrainian cooperation, the Turkmen leader and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Viktor Mayko, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the celebrations on occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, underlined the existing tremendous potential for the further development of the mutually beneficial cooperation. The Turkmen leader expressed belief that the Ukrainian partners would take an active part in the large-scale reformatory programmes taken place in our country in the new historical epoch.

During a meeting, President of VINCI Construction Grands Projets Allan Bono and the Country Manager of the company for Turkmenistan informed the President of Turkmenistan on the progress of construction of the new building of the Government of Turkmenistan. The projects of other facilities to be built in the Turkmen capital were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration within the framework of the meeting.
The President of Turkmenistan suggested the company's managers to consider an opportunity to take part in the design and construction of a new administrative centre of Ahal Velayat.
