Turkmen-Belarusian top-level talks are to take place in Ashgabat tomorrow. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has arrived on an official visit to the Turkmen capital to participate in the summit.
The sides focused on the critical importance of the summit at the preparation stage given the mutual willingness to foster the long-term constructive dialogue both in the bilateral and multilateral formats – within the major international organisations and authoritative institutions.
A number of factors, particularly the firm legal framework of bilateral cooperation and the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Belarus Commission for economic cooperation, have contributed to the positive trend of development of multifaceted collaboration in the new historical conditions.
It should be noted that the joint commission held the fifth meeting in Ashgabat on the eve of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan.
