President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the important domestic policy issues and draft documents were considered.
Opening the meeting, the Turkmen leader cordially congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on the Harvest Day, which is annually celebrated in independent Turkmenistan on the last Sunday of November. The President emphasized that the reforms taken place in the agroindustrial complex of the country were aimed at strengthening the food security in Turkmenistan, and developing the export potential of the country, including the export of high-quality products produced on the Turkmen land to foreign markets.

It was reported on the financial issues of the projects on construction of the five-star hotel designed for 300 places built at the request of the Ministry of Communication of Turkmenistan in the Avaza National tourist zone and 20 four-story apartment houses in Annau, Ak Bugday Etrap, Ahal Velayat built at the expense of entrepreneurs.
The reports covered the preparations for the forthcoming election to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fifth convocation scheduled for December, 15.
The report on the preparations for the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Thailand on November 30 - December 2 was presented. It is planned that a number of documents will be signed within the framework of the visit.
It was reported that cotton growers in Lebap Velayat fulfilled their contractual obligations. In general, 1,139,564 tons of cotton were delivered to the receiving points of the country within this year's cotton campaign.

The Ministry of Textile Industry, Ministry of Trade and Foreign-Economic Relations, the State Food Industry Association and the Union of Industrialist and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan will donate various goods and products, including sportswear, agricultural products, school desks and confectionery to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
