President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference with a number of the Vice Premiers, the high-ranking officials of sectoral ministries and departments and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. In particular, the reports on the work carried out in the new etraps of Turkmenbashi town and the progress in implementing the construction projects in a new town in Ahal Velayat and Balkan Velayat were presented.

The meeting participants reported on the measures taken to prepare the proposals on field tests of agricultural machines manufactured in the neighbouring country. Field tests are being conducted in accordance with the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Ashgabat Khyakim reported on the current situation in Ashgabat, the ongoing construction projects, the progress in reconstruction of existing highways and construction of new ones and the results of the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation and Development Forum, which took place in Urumqi, the People’s Republic of China on November 28-29.
The Turkmen leader was informed of the preparations for the election to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fifth convocation, which would be held on December 15. In this regard, it was noted that international observers, including from the CIS states, OSCE and the European Parliament, would monitor the parliamentary elections.
