President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the WHO European Ministerial Conference on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases in the Context of Health 2020 held in our country at the initiative of the Turkmen leader.
A lively exchange of views on the prospects for promoting traditional cooperation that is given particular attention to in the country programme of cooperation with the UN agencies for 2010-2015 took place during the meeting. Emphasis was placed on the mutual willingness to enhance contacts at the national and regional levels and intensify partnership in a number of key areas, including health specialist training.
