President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to South African President Jacob Zuma on the death of national leader, hero Nelson Mandela, known all over the world as a global advocate for peace and human rights and freedoms.

"Nelson Mandela not only at Motherland but also abroad is an excellent example of courage and caring for the whole humanity. I am sure that fond memories of him forever remain in the hearts of today's and future generations," said the President of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen leader expressed the words of support to all the Mandela family, and to all the people of South Africa.
