President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a working videoconference meeting with the Vice Premiers, the heads of ministries and departments and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the priority aspects of the country’s social and economic development in the context of the ongoing development programmes, including in the agricultural sector.
The reports on the important social and political action – the parliamentary election, which was held on December 15, the measures taken in the agricultural sector, the progress in implementing the construction projects and the current situation in the transport and communications, health care, sports and tourism, the work carried out in the spheres of science and education and the measures taken to improve social and living conditions of citizens were presented.
The report on the Days of Ashgabat held in the capital of the Republic of Turkey, Ankara, in the framework of which the Galklynysh group of equestrian games of the President of Turkmenistan Ahalteke Horse Breeding Complex and the Group Turkmen Dzhigits of the State Circus of Turkmenistan gave guest performances on December 13-15, was presented.
The reports spotlighted the measures taken to ensure effective operation of heating systems in Ashgabat, including at schools, kindergartens and apartments, and uninterrupted electricity supply to the city. The report on the preparations for the New Year celebrations and the measures taken to pay salaries to the employees of organisations, enterprises and institutions before the winter holidays was presented. The meeting participants reported on the measures taken by the departments of internal affairs to maintain public order in the country and prevent any kind of offences, including road traffic accidents.
The information on the draft projects of 145 fertilizer warehouses to be built in different regions of the country was presented.
The projects for construction of apartment houses to be built in Ashgabat and the projects for refurnishing and modernization of some buildings in Lebap Velayat were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
The proposal for the allocation of a land parcel for long-term use to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the territory of Al Bugdai in Ahal Velayat to build a fertilizer warehouse, the draft project of which were presented during the videoconference meeting, was presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
