President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Assistant of the UN General Secretary, Deputy Administrator of UNDP, Regional Director of UNDP for Europe and CIS Mrs. Jihan Sultanoglu.
In the course of the meeting, the nation leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest discussed priority aspects of cooperation Turkmenistan-UNDP, which gained new quality and content within the last years. At that, it is noted the constructive role of foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan aimed at maintenance of peace and stability, creation of conditions for sustainable development in the region and entire planet. In this connection, Mrs. Jihan Sultanoglu expressed sincere gratitude to the head of Turkmen state for active support in the issues of cooperation with the UNO and realization of important projects, including of the regional level.
In the course of view exchange on prospects of expansion and deepening of efficient interaction, it was underlined that most favorable possibilities for this are opened owing to scale reforms and complex reformations realized in Turkmenistan. Having laid a foundation for further all-round development of the state and society, they have attached new stimulus to traditional partnership. In this context, Mrs. Jihan Sultanoglu emphasized high indices of economic growth of Turkmenistan that creates good base for successive progress of the country.
