President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat.
The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues of the domestic policy, including the progress in seasonal agricultural and agro-technical activities and the measures taken to address social and cultural issues.
The reports on the current situation in the capital and the regions, New Year celebrations and other festive activities organized during the winter school holidays were presented during the first videoconference meeting in 2014. In particular, it was reported that many children from Mary Velayat had been sent to a recreational centre in the Avaza national tourism zone where they would spend their winter school holidays.
The Turkmen leader was informed of the progress in implementing the construction projects and the measures taken to ensure the effective operation of heating networks and uninterrupted electricity supply to apartment house, schools and kindergartens. The report on the preparations for the Week of Culture, which will be held in Dashoguz Velayat this year, was presented. The heads of administration reported on the ongoing agro-technical activities in the regions, the preparation of agricultural equipment and machines for seasonal agricultural activities and the wintering of livestock.
Commenting on the reports, the President focused on the need to properly prepare for and hold the events, which will take place in Geokdepe to observe Remembrance Day.
