President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Ms. Nisha Desai Biswal, who has visited Turkmenistan for the first time after to appointment to the post.
Exchanging the views on the important aspects and key areas of the Turkmen-American cooperation, the Turkmen leader and his guest emphasized on the aspiration of the two countries for enhancing relations in the economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres given the mutual interest and common priorities of the social and economic development of the two states.
It was noted that the confidential character of the interstate relations allowed Turkmenistan and the US implementing the bilateral agreements achieved earlier as well as establishing new trends of the long-term cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, oil and gas and energy sector, agriculture, transport and communications, education and other important areas.
