On the instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Parliament of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdiyeva received the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Federative Republic of Brazil Mr. Demetrio Bueno Carvalho.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Brazilian diplomat was briefed on the key vectors and priorities of the domestic and foreign policy pursued in Turkmenistan.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of strengthening the inter-parliamentary relations and exchanging the accumulated experience in the law-making sphere given the prospects of the Turkmen-Brazilian cooperation built on the bilateral and multilateral basis within the framework of the large international organizations.
The parties specified the trade and economic, fuel and energy as well as humanitarian spheres, agriculture, sport and tourism and other sectors as important areas for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Brazil.
