President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Victor Mayko, who had arrived in Ashgabat to discuss the issues of the intergovernmental cooperation.
Exchanging the views on the existing situation and the prospects of the Turkmen-Ukrainian cooperation, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest highly evaluated the dynamics of development of the multi aspect dialogue, which satisfy the interests of the peoples of the two countries. The Turkmen leader and the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine underlined that the strong contractual and legal basis of the mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres vividly demonstrated the aspiration of the two states for close and efficient cooperation.
Highly appreciating the contribution of the Ukrainian partners in implementation of the important projects in the fuel and energy sector, transport, urban development and many other strategic industries of the national economy, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that Ukrainian companies would actively participate in the large-scale state programmes taken place in our country.
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the measures taken to enhance the intergovernmental relations in the humanitarian sphere, including science, culture and education.
