President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the Vice Premiers and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues of the social and economic development of the regions and the country in the framework of the complex reformatory programmes implemented in the country, including agricultural campaigns and other important aspects of the state policy life.
Reporting on the existing situation in the regions, the Khyakims informed the Turkmen leader on the measures taken to allocate lands for construction of houses.
It was also reported on the work on improving and maintaining cleanness in all regions of the country and on the territory of organizations and enterprises, as well as the measures taken to prepare for the national planting campaign and the scrap-metal drive in Balkan Velayat. Moreover, the Turkmen leader was informed on the progress in implementing the action plan for preparing the agricultural fields and equipment for he spring sowing campaign. The draft designs of the sculptures of the Turkmen classical poets to be installed in a park in Tedjen were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
Reporting on the measures taken to improve the Turkmen capital and modernize the municipal infrastructure, the President was informed on the progress of construction works in the Turkmen capital. In this regard, a number of construction projects were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
The report on the measures taken to further improve the work of the financial and economic and banking institutions of the country was presented during the meeting. The President of Turkmenistan was informed on the work done to ensure the efficient water consumption in the country. The draft design of the railway station to be built in Etrek at the Bereket - Etrek section of the Gyzylgaya - Bereket - Etrek railway was presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
It was also reported on the preparations for the cultural and sports festival among the schools of the CIS member states to be organized in the Avaza National tourist zone at the end of the summer - beginning of autumn of 2014.
Commenting on the projects, the Turkmen leader provided a number of specific comments and recommendations. In particular, the President underlined the importance of use of the innovative technologies and the most advanced engineering and technological developments in the sphere of construction given the particular characteristics and the functionality of facilities as well as the best experience in the sphere of the municipal engineering and the modern landscape design.
Underlining the significance of the purposeful work done to develop various sports, including winter sports, the popularity of which in our country has significantly increased in recent years, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to establish the figure-skating teams at the economic and transport complexes with the aim to further popularize this sport and train sportsmen, who will represent Turkmenistan at the international arena.
Other issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
