President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the heads of ministries and departments, and the khyakims of the regions. The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues of the large-scale programmes on the social and economic development taken place in the country as well as the important aspects of life of the state and society.
In particular, it was reported on the outcomes of participation of the Turkmen delegation in the 45th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission.
The reports on the measures taken to increase the hydrocarbon production and accelerate development of new prospective deposits were also presented during the meeting.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the progress of construction of the social and production facilities and the existing situation in the fishing industry.
It was also reported on the existing situation in the regions, the preparations for the cotton sowing campaign as well as the progress of implementation of the National reformatory programme aimed at building apartment houses and the social and economic facilities.
Moreover, the Ahal Velayat Khyakim presented the draft design of the Çagalar Dünýäsi Park to the Turkmen leader for consideration. The Balkan Velayat Khyakim reported on the work done within the first two months of the current year, including the progress of construction of the social and cultural facilities in the Avaza National tourist zone.
The Kyakims of the regions also informed the Turkmen leader on the preparations for the National planting campaign to be held in the country on March 15.
Commenting on the reports on the progress of construction of the urban-type settlements with modern apartment houses, including the social and cultural facilities, President Gurbanguy Berdimuhamedov underlined the importance of establishing the special commissions including the representatives of the Khyakimliks in the regions and other relevant structures to consider the readiness of apartment houses to be put into operation and the State Commission including the representatives of the Ministry of Construction of Turkmenistan and other agencies to make the decision on putting new settlements with improved conditions into operation.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant officials to start preparations for the summer children's holidays early in advance.
Considering the draft design of the Çagalar Dünýäsi Park, the Turkmen leader provided specific comments and instructions.
