President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with Vice Premiers, the heads of ministries and departments, and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the regions and the country as well and the important aspects of life of the state and society.
It was reported on the preparations for opening of a new infrastructural facility - passenger Terminal - 2 with the capacity of 1,250 passengers per hour of the new International Airport being built in Ashgabat. It was also reported on the progress of construction of new highways and reconstruction of existing ones in the country.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the projects on improvement of the Turkmen capital and the preparations for the International holiday of Nowruz.
The report on the development of the national judiciary system and the measures taken to bring it in compliance with the generally recognized international standards given the requirements of the new historical epoch was presented during the meeting.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the progress in implementing the legal reform aimed at improvement and comprehensive development of the legislative basis of the country given the most advanced world experience in this sphere and the norms of the international law.
The Velayat Khyakims reported on the agricultural measures taken in the regions to prepare for the spring sowing campaign and the trees planting campaign. It was also reported on the measures taken to fulfill the Turkmen leader's instructions to ensure water supply to the agricultural fields and efficiently use water resources. Moreover, it was also reported on the preparations for the sports and health-improving events, the forthcoming festivities on occasion of the 290th birthday anniversary of Magtymguly Fraghi. Ahal Velayat Khyakim informed the Turkmen leader on the completion of construction of a new secondary school designed for 400 places nearby the Yandaklyagyz settlement in Geoktepe Etrap.
Other issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
