President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and the State Security Council, during which the important domestic policy issues and draft documents were considered.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the work of the National Parliament.
It was also reported on the events taken place in the Turkmen capital and the regions on occasion of the National holiday of spring as well as on the preparations for the festive events and architectural premiers scheduled for April.
The report on the progress of construction of new infrastructural facilities aimed at increasing the volumes of the Turkmen natural gas delivery to the People's Republic of China in accordance with the existing intergovernmental agreements was presented during the meeting.
Within the framework of the report on the complex measures taken to strengthen the material and technological basis of the national economy, the project on construction of the glass production enterprise was presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
The Vice Premiers reported on the preparations for the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China on March 23-29 with the aim to further development of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
The Turkmen leader was also informed on the preparations for opening of Passenger Terminal - 2 of the new International airport in the Turkmen capital.
It was reported on the fulfillment of the Geknar-2014 plan that is aimed at preventing the illegal drug traffic and eliminating drugs in the country.
The Turkmen leader was also informed on the implementation of the Decree on the military discharge from the Armed Forces and other military services of Turkmenistan and the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Turkmen leader signed a number of documents, including the Resolutions On certification of some kinds of products imported to our country by individuals, On approvement of the regulations on the state professional colleges, On financing the projects on construction of the modern high-quality communication systems of the Ashgabat - Bereket - Turkmenbashi railway and On financing the project on construction of the Bereket and Serhetyaka stations along the Gyzylgaya - Bereket - Etrek railway and On the reconstruction of the Dashoguz panel construction plant.
The Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to thoroughly work on the project on construction of the glass production enterprise, including selection of the construction site and subcontractor.
Other issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
