President of Turkmenistan congratulated Turkmen citizens on the National Spring Holiday - Nowruz bairamy.
The leader of Turkmenistan says in his congratulatory statement that the wonderful festival glorifying the original traditions and customs of the peoples of the East and establishing spiritual and moral beauty, peacemaking and humanism has a beneficial effect on the enrichment of the treasury of human values and the development of national cultures.
Calling for peaceful coexistence, uniting one another and bringing closer peoples together, ancient Nowruz is declared the international holiday and inscribed on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that Nowruz bairamy contributes to mutual understanding, respect and unity of the peoples. Therefore, maintaining the noble traditions of good neighbourliness, peace and humanism in a worthy manner, Turkmen citizens are celebrating this ancient holiday in an atmosphere of unity and cohesion. This demonstrates once again that our neutral Fatherland advocates the enhancement of international cooperation, consolidation of efforts of the international community to find constructive solutions to global issues of our time and maintain peace on the planet.
"Our ancestors," said the Turkmen leader, "have always viewed the National Spring Holiday as the celebrations giving joy to people, symbolizing the renewal of the Turkmen land, the festival of crop farming, the celebrations of harmony between man and nature."
The invaluable works of the internationally renowned thinkers, such as Abu Rayhan Biruni, Alisher Navoiy, Magtymguly, who enriched the spiritual and cultural treasury of mankind, highly praised the sacred renewing power of Nowruz. Nowruznamah by Omar Khayyam is a significant contribution to the enrichment of the world cultural heritage.
