President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with Vice Premiers, and the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the regions, and the preparations for the spring agricultural campaigns.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the existing situation in the agricultural complex, the measures taken to increase the paces of construction works and improve water supply in the country. The reports on the work of the institutions in the sphere of health, education, sports and tourism on the further implementation of the state social policy and sectoral programmes were presented during the meeting.
It was also reported on the existing situation in the Turkmen capital, the work done on reconstruction of old and construction of new highways and planting greenery on the territory of the city.
The President was also informed on the programme of the cultural events on occasion of the April holidays.
The projects on the improvement of the Turkmen capital, the draft designs of the memorial complex in honor of Magtymguly Fraghi and the Museum of Poetry to be built in Magtymguly Etrap in Balkan Velayat as well as the draft design of the polypropylene and polyethylene production plant in the Kiyanly settlement in Balkan Velayat were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the project will be implemented with participation of the consortium of the Japanese and Korean companies.
Commenting on the projects, the Turkmen leader made a number of specific instructions in this regard and demanded the relevant officials to take the quality and time frameworks of construction works under the rigorous control.
Commenting on the report on the preparations for opening of passenger terminal - 2 that will work within the period of construction of the main passenger terminal. the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to train the highly-qualified specialists as well as to increase the culture and quality of services offered by local aviators.
Within the framework of the meeting, the President signed the Resolutionsx appointing B. Sarryev Vice Minister of the Railway Transport and A. Tertipova Protector for Academic Unit of Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
