President of Turkmenistan visits Dashoguz Velayat

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to Dashoguz Velayat to see the progress of the agricultural campaigns and construction works taken place in the region as well as the progress in implementing the socio-economic reforms.

At the International airport in Ashgabat, the President of Turkmenistan conducted a meeting of the cabinet of ministers with participation of Vice Premiers and the heads of the military and law-enforcement agencies of the country. The meeting agenda focused on the construction works within the framework of the socio-economic development of the country. In conclusion of the meeting, the Turkmen leader wished the meeting participants success in their work and left the Turkmen capital for Dashoguz.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Vice Premiers, the heads of ministries and departments, and Khyakims of the regions greeted the Turkmen leader at the Dashoguz airport. The draft designs of new buildings to be constructed in the northern region of our country were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration upon his arrival.

Vice Premier B. Nurmyradova and Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan G. Mammedova reported on the preparations for the Week of Culture in Dashoguz Velayat. Then, Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim E. Orazgeldiev presented the projects of the social, cultural and industrial facilities to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

Commenting on the projects, the Turkmen leader provided a number of specific comments and recommendations. In particular, the President underlined that all construction works taken place in the northern region of Turkmenistan should satisfy the highest standards.

Then, the President headed to S.A. Niyazov Etrap to see the progress of construction of a new livestock complex in Magtymguly Peasant Association.

Considering the farm supplied with the most advanced automated equipment, the Turkmen leader got acquainted with the processes on production of milk, cheese, butter, sour creme and other dairy products.

Vice President of the Cotam Enterprises Ltd. Seda Gengoru informed the Turkmen leader on the progress of construction works and assured the President of Turkmenistan that the specialists of the Turkish company fulfilled their contractual obligations and would significantly contribute to the implementation of the large-scale changes taken place in our country.

In conclusion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished those present strong health, successes in their work, and family happiness and headed to the helicopter.

During the helicopter flight, the President considered grazing areas in Dashoguz Velayat underlining the importance of the efficient use of lands and water resources as well as the further modernization of the industrial infrastructure of the agricultural sector.

The President's helicopter landed nearby the distant pasture and the Turkmen leader headed to the temporary staying of Turkmen cattle breeders. The family of shepherd Esen Hodjaahmedov cordially greeted the President. Speaking with the shepherd, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov asked about shepherds' everyday concerns and health.

Being an expert on the Turkmen flora, the Turkmen leader demonstrated the interest in the plants growing there.

Bidding farewell to those present, the President headed to the helicopter and left the venue for Dashoguz. During the helicopter flight the Turkmen leader considered the agricultural fields in the region. At the Dashoguz airport President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working meeting with the heads of the region to sum up the visit.

Specifying the key tasks on the social and economic development of Dashoguz Velayat for the near future, the Turkmen leader gave a number of instructions to the relevant officials. In particular, the President instructed Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim to draft the regional program on the specific administrative and organizational measures to ensure the implementation of the scheduled plans.

Bidding farewell to the meeting participants and wishing them success in their work, the President left Dashoguz for the Turkmen capital.
