On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic in Turkmenistan Ms. Danai-Magdalini Koumanakou.
The diplomat was briefed on key aspects and priorities of the domestic and foreign policies of the Turkmen state. The Ambassador was also informed on the ongoing large-scale projects in various sectors of the national economy, the historical and cultural traditions of the Turkmen people. The issues under discussion included the activities of the Mejlis, the main legislative body of the country.
Expressing keen interest in the changes taking place in the Turkmen land, the diplomat focused on the existing tremendous potential for building up mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. Emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing close parliamentary relations to enhance the constructive dialogue between Turkmenistan and Greece.
