President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held an outside meeting of the State Security Council, during which the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in the first quarter of 2014 was considered.
The Turkmen leader visited the surroundings of the frontier post. The President noted that the professional duty of Turkmen frontier guards was to ensure the inviolability of the frontiers of our country that had become the boundaries of good neighbourliness and friendship. Then the Turkmen leader considered the project of a field hospital and instructed to create the conditions in its units meeting modern requirements.
Then the President headed to the venue of an outside meeting of the State Security Council.
The high-ranking military and law enforcement officials presented the detailed reports on the current situation at the institutions and organisations under their supervision and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions to optimize their activities and strengthen their material and technical basis and the work done in the first quarter of 2014.
Expressing satisfaction with the work done in whole by the law enforcement agencies in the first quarter of the current year, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief emphasized that abiding by the principles of peacefulness and humanism underlying the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, which is pure defensive, the Government would continue to create the conditions conducive to fruitful work and decent recreation of the valorous defenders of the Motherland.

As is known, the priority objectives of the policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan include the implementation of the Military Doctrine that enables to create the modern conditions for their service and raise their professional level.
Other issues were considered during the meeting and the decisions were adopted.
Minister of Defence B. Gundogdyev reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that a field hospital designed to provide medical care on-site had been delivered to the Ministry of Defence. The President visited the hospital to see its equipment and some mobile medical units where favourable conditions were created to carry out various medical procedures and provide medical services to military servants in line with international standards.
Noting that the Government would continue to show concern for the welfare of military servants and create favourable conditions for their service, the President wished the meeting participants every success in their work and left the venue.
