President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia Norman bin Muhammad, who was appointed as the head of a diplomatic mission of his country in Turkmenistan.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, the diplomat presented letters of credence to the leader of Turkmenistan and taking an opportunity, conveyed cordial greetings on behalf of King of Malaysia Tuanku Alhaj sir Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah and Prime Minister Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak.
Congratulating the guest on the appointment to the post, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished him every success in his important work.
During the meeting the Turkmen leader and the Malaysian diplomat emphasized the importance holding of regular bilateral meetings in various formats, which contributes to the intensification of traditional cooperation. In this regard, talks focused on the possibilities of enhancing mutually beneficial partnership in the fuel and energy sector, economy, business, tourism, education and culture.
