The leaders of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia held a bilateral meeting in the VIP hall of the international airport in Turkmenbashi town. Expressing satisfaction with the dynamic development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia, the sides expressed belief that they would be enhanced in all spheres.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited his Armenian counterpart to attend the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the international event taking place these days in the Avaza national tourism zone in preparation for the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games.
The two leaders headed from the airport for Ruhiyet Palace – the venue for the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in Turkmenistan and a concert of friendship of cultural and arts workers of the two countries. The cabinet ministers and high-ranking military and law enforcement officials of Turkmenistan, the representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, public organisations, mass media and numerous guests, including the high-level delegation of the Republic of Armenia, gathered together in Ruhiyet Palace.
The audience greeted with great enthusiasm the participants of the concert of Turkmen-Armenian friendship that united famous creative ensembles, popular singers, well-known musicians and young talents from the two countries. Wonderful melodies, works of the national musical heritage and musical compositions that belong to the treasury of world classics, popular songs and buoyant dances were performed under the domes of the magnificent hall. Spectators rewarded bright musical and dance compositions performed by the dance groups from Turkmenistan and Armenia with the storm of applause.
In their opening remarks, the high-ranking representatives of the cultural sphere of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia emphasized that the festival of friendship demonstrated that the historical and cultural heritage has no boundaries and is the common property of mankind. This event will certainly add a bright page to the chronicle of bilateral relations and promote the spiritual and cultural flowering of the two friendly peoples and cooperation in the name of global progress.

Culinary experts from 23 countries, including the Republic of Armenia, conduct master classes in the framework of the seminar. Along with other fashionable hotels and recreational centres on the Turkmen seashore of the Caspian Sea, the high-class recreational centre became the venue for presentations of national cuisines. The participants share the traditions and techniques of cooking traditional dishes and culinary delights.
The seminar aimed at improving the professional skills of Turkmen cooking experts and the quality of services rendered in this sphere is organized in preparation for the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games, which Ashgabat will be hosting in 2017.
