President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the important domestic policy issues and draft documents were considered.

Vice Premier A. Gochiev reported on the work done in the spheres under his supervision and the measures taken with the aim to improve the national system of standardization and certification. It was reported that in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan On Certification, the Regulations on economic sanctions for violation of certification requirements were approved. The Resolution approving specific actions and rates of fines for violations in this sphere was drafted and submitted to the President for consideration. The Vice Premier also submitted the draft of the Resolution on the business trip rates within Turkmenistan to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

Approving the resolutions in general and signing them, the President gave a number of specific instructions to the Vice Premier.

Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva reported on legislative activities of the national parliament and the preparations for a regular meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fifth convocation, during which new laws would be considered, for the elections to the Mejlis and gengeshi members scheduled for April 20 to replace the resigned members and for the conference on occasion of the Day of Revival, Unity and Magtymguly’s Poetry.

Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the work done within the framework of implement the Concept of the Foreign-Policy Course of Turkmenistan for 2013-2017 and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions. The Vice Premier also informed the President of Turkmenistan on the preparations for the forthcoming visits of foreign guests, who will take part in the festivities on occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day in Turkmenistan.

Vice Premier M. Yazmuhammedova reported on the work done in the sectors under her supervision, in particular it was reported on the progress of development of international cooperation in the mass media. Vice Premier B. Hojamuhammedov reported on the existing situation in the fuel and energy sector and the preparations for the implementation of another large-scale investment project – construction of the gas-chemical complex on production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Kiyanly settlement in Balkan Velayat. The annual production capacity of the new complex will be 386,000 tons of polyethylene and 81,000 tons of polypropylene.

Reporting on the progress in implementing a number of investment projects in the construction industry, Vice Premier B. Italmazov, in particular, informed on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions on widening the variety of building materials produced in our country and involving local private companies in this industry.

Vice Premier P. Taganov reported on the progress in drafting the Resolution On improvement of work of the State Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. The Vice Premier also reported on the measures taken to improve the system of professional training of qualified specialists in the sphere of trade.

Vice Premier S. Toylyev reported on the existing situation in the spheres under his supervision and the measures taken to improve the work of educational institutions in the country. Vice Premier, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh. Durdylyev reported on the existing situation in the sectors under his supervision and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions.

Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov reported on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions to prepare for the Turkmen Horse Day which is widely celebrated in our country.

Vice Premier S. Satlykov reported on the existing situation in the spheres under his supervision, in particular the Vice Premier reported on the drafting the Resolution on purchasing Boeing-737-800 airliners to replenish the fleet of the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service.

Vice Premier M. Artykov reported on the existing situation in the spheres under his supervision and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions. The President said that a gas turbine power plant and a gas cleaning unit – would be put into operation in Lebap Velayat in early May within the framework of the National Social and Economic Development Programme of Turkmenistan for 2011-2030. Putting the new power plant into operation will promote increasing the export volumes of electricity to Afghanistan and new gas cleaning unit will promote transporting natural gas to the People’s Republic of China according to the Programme.

Other domestic policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
