President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for Balkan Velayat on a working trip.
The Turkmen leader held a working meeting with the Vice Premiers, the Chairperson of the Mejlis and the Balkan Velayat Khyakim at the international airport in Turkmenbashi town.
The meeting participants reported to the Turkmen leader on the current situation in the sectors and institutions under their supervision and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions.
Commenting on the reports, the President set the high-ranking officials the specific tasks to further promote the ambitious programmes of reforms.
A focus of the meeting was the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a gas chemical complex producing polyethylene and polypropylene, which will take place in Kiyanly settlement on April 22. The event will vividly evidence the practical steps taken to implement the state policy aimed at developing new industries.
