President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan Mahmudjon Sobirov.
The President of Turkmenistan and the Tajik diplomat expressed deep satisfaction with the level of the interstate dialogue that had been filled with new content and brought to a new qualitative level in recent years and exchanged views on the prospects for promoting mutually beneficial cooperation.
Exchanging views on the priorities of Turkmen-Tajik partnership, the Turkmen leader and plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tajikistan focused on the important role of the intergovernmental commission for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation in building up fruitful interaction. Emphasis was also placed on the existing potential for partnership in the areas, such as industry, education, transport, health care and agriculture.
