The Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fifth convocation held its third session. The meeting agenda focused on a number of new laws and statutory and legal acts. The heads of relevant ministries and departments and journalists took part in the meeting.
Mejlis deputies considered the draft Law of Turkmenistan "On public organisations". In compliance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Law focuses on the Turkmen citizens' right to establish public organisations and specifies the legal and organisational aspects of stablishment, work, reorganisation, and closing of public organisations as well as regulates public relations in this sphere.
Turkmen parliamentarians also considered the draft Law of Turkmenistan "On the state registration of rights to immovable property and transactions with it" specifying the goals, tasks and legal aspects in this sphere. Among the other documents considered during the meeting was the draft Law of Turkmenistan "On the state guarantees of children's rights", which determines the key guarantees of rights and legal interests of children stipulated by the Constitution of Turkmenistan with the aim to establish the legal, social and economic conditions for implementation of children's rights and interests.
The meeting agenda also included the draft Laws of Turkmenistan "On State Secrets", "On information and its protection", "On Amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On Freedom of belief and religious organisations", "On amendments to the Labour Code of Turkmenistan", "On amendments to the Criminal Code of Turkmenistan", "On amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Turkmenistan", "On amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences", "On amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On Military duty and Military Service", "On Amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On alcohol and drug abuse treatment", "On Amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On communication", "On amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On the road safety", "On amendments to some legislative acts of Turkmenistan".
