President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Mr. Duisen Kaseinov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the international forum dedicated to the 290th birth anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fraghi.
The TURKSOY Secretary General presented the President of Turkmenistan the special medal dedicated to Magtymguly Fraghi established by the organization to mark the declaration of 2014 the Year of the great Turkmen classical poet. Taking an opportunity, Mr. Duisen Kaseinov once again expressed hearty gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the great honour of being awarded an honorary award of Turkmenistan – Medal of Magtymguly Pyragy and the appreciation of TURKSOY’s work.
The President of Turkmenistan and the TURKSOY Secretary General also exchanged views on key aspects of partnership on the study, preservation and enrichment of cultural values of the Turkic peoples and their promotion on a global scale.
