On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain Rashid Saad Dhaffer Al Doseri.
During the meeting the Ambassador was briefed on the main aspects of the domestic and foreign policies pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the progress in implementing the ambitious reforms initiated by the Turkmen leader to further improve the welfare of the people and promoting constructive international partnership.
The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, which has the tremendous potential in the trade and economic sector as well as in the humanitarian and cultural spheres.
A focus of the meeting was the ways to enhance inter-parliamentary relations and exchange law-making experience so as to promote cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bahrain, in particular within the major international organisations. In this context, Mr. Rashid Saad Dhaffer Al Doseri said that he intended to make every effort to foster the constructive dialogue and traditionally friendly relations, which fully meet the interests of the two countries and friendly peoples.
