Tonight, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for Republic of Turkey with an official visit. At the international airport of Ashgabat, the head of state was seen off by officials.
In several hours, the presidential “Boeing” made a landing in the international airport “Esenbog” of Ankara adorned with State flags of two countries on this significant occasion. At ramp of aircraft, on the instruction and on behalf of the leadership of Republic of Turkey, the Turkmen leader was welcomed warmly and cordially by officials of brotherly country.
Here, in air harbor, the nation leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was cordially welcomed by members of governmental delegation of Turkmenistan as well as Turkmen students, who study at the leading higher educational establishments of Turkey. Having warmly greeted all participants, the President of Turkmenistan proceeded along carpet strip. Soldiers of guard of honor lined up along this strip.
Having left the airport, motor cortege of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov directed to the residence specially allotted for the head of Turkmenistan - luxury hotel “Sheraton-Lugal”.
Significance of upcoming tomorrow – June 3 – Turkmen-Turkish summit talks is determined with the fact that in these days on the threshold of official visit of the President of Turkmenistan, a series of bilateral meetings with participation of members of representative Turkmen delegation arrived here on the instruction of the head of Turkmen state was held in Ankara.
So, on June 1, it was held the 5th session of Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Committee for economic cooperation. Within its framework, the parties discussed the realization process of earlier reached agreements as well as outlined concrete measures aimed at diversification of traditional cooperation in all its major trends and elaboration of common, agreed approaches to formation of reliable platform for further effective interaction, taking into account accumulated experience of joint work and best traditions of friendship and neighbourliness.
On June 2, on the instruction of the nation leader, the members of governmental delegation of Turkmenistan held bilateral meetings in the sectoral ministries and departments of Republic of Turkey, where it was held interested view exchange on possibilities of expansion of fruitful cooperation before which new horizons are opened.
Discussion of prospects of expansion of business partnership will be also continued within the framework of upcoming in the Turkmen capital on June 3 the Turkmen-Turkish business forum. Members of government, heads of various ministries and departments, representatives of state structures and business circles of two countries will be invited for participation in it.
Concerning the agenda of current summit talks, it is worth mentioning that Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdulla Gul plan to discuss a wide spectrum of issues, which are of mutual interest, and determine new vectors and priorities of development of the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation, being successfully established within the last years on bilateral and multilateral basis, particularly within the framework of the largest international and regional organizations.
