President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is continuing his official visit to the Republic of Turkey.
In the morning, the Turkmen leader visited the technopolis Bilkent Cyberpark at Bilkent University, which enjoys a high reputation in scientific circles as the university, where students are given ample opportunities to conduct research activities. The name of the university is translated from Turkish as the city of learning and science. Many students from different countries study there, and lecturers from about 40 countries deliver lectures.
The motorcade of the President of Turkmenistan stopped at the main entrance of the office building of the technopolis, where General Manager of Bilkent Cyberpark Ms. Canan Cakmakcı cordially greeted and welcomed the Turkmen leader. Ms. Canan Cakmakcı invited President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to enter the conference hall located on the second floor of the office building.
The presentation on the organizational structure and fields of activity of Bilkent Cyberpark, which is one of the units of Bilkent University affiliating 9 faculties, 2 vocational schools with four-year training programme and 3 vocational schools with a two-year training programme, was made for the distinguished guest.
After the presentation had concluded, the Turkmen leader visited Bilkent University UNAM-National Nanotechnology Research Centre located in the territory of the technopolis. The leader of Turkmenistan learned about the activities of research laboratories and ongoing research activities. Modern equipment designed to implement innovative projects in such areas as medicine and biochemistry was presented to the distinguished guest.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heartily bade farewell to those present and left the meeting venue.
The Turkmen leader left for the Turkish city of Bodrum, where he would participate in the IV Summit Meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States. The officials cordially greeted the President of Turkmenistan at Milas-Bodrum airport. In the afternoon, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a bilateral meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
