President of Turkmenistan receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Turkmenistan George Karalashvili, who awarded letters of credentials to the Turkmen leader.

Expressing deep gratitude for a personal meeting, the diplomat expressed greetings from President of Georgia Giorgi Margelashvili and confirmed the high interest of his country in strengthening the traditionally friendly intergovernmental relations.

During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia exchanged views on the status and the possibilities of the bilateral cooperation specifying trade and economy, transport sphere as well as a number of other industries among the priority areas for cooperation. It was also underlined the significance of enhancing humanitarian relations, widening fruitful contacts in the sphere of education, science and culture. The President of Turkmenistan and Georgian diplomat emphasized the potential for diversifying the traditional partnership and bringing it to a qualitatively new level given modern requirements and perspectives.
