President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a working videoconference meeting with the khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat, the Vice Premiers and the heads of a number of ministries and departments. The meeting agenda covered the priority issues of life of the Turkmen state and society, in particular the harvest campaign – the important agricultural campaign being held in the country – and the current situation on the construction sites.
The reports on the current situation in the capital city, the preparations for the remarkable dates to be widely and solemnly celebrated throughout the country and the opening ceremonies of new facilities and buildings were presented during the meeting. The heads of the regional administrations reported to the Turkmen leader on the current situation in the regions, in particular the progress of the harvest campaign and seasonal agricultural activities on cotton fields, the current situation in the livestock sector, the measures taken to improve the social welfare of citizens and the progress in implementing the construction projects.
It was reported that silkworm breeders in Dashoguz Velayat had fulfilled their contractual obligations on cocoon production.
The report on the measures taken to write off outdated machinery and transfer it to tenant farmers on a gratuitous basis was presented.
The information on the measures taken to strengthen the material and technical basis and modernize oil and gas enterprises was presented.
The preparations for the Week of Culture, which will begin in Dashoguz Velayat on June 23, were discussed.

The Turkmen leader severely reprimanded the Mary Velayat Khyakim for the failure of silkworm breeders in the region to fulfil their contractual obligations on cocoon production.
The Turkmen leader expressed his dissatisfaction with the work of the Balkan Velayat Deputy Khyakim in charge of the construction sector and instructed the Prosecutor General to inspect the state of affairs on the construction sites in Balkan Velayat.
